Time to talk in the past tense! We will visit kibbutz: learn about professions, daily life of kibbutznikim and travel around The Sea of Galilee. We will read stories from the past of legendary kibbutzim in Israel and listen to famous songs written by Hebrew poets coming from the kibbutz.
This course is one of four thematic units on elementary level. Each unit consists of: thematic vocabulary, interactive reading, grammar section and listening part together with two listening comprehensions. Each section includes audio recordings, interactive exercises, fully illustrated presentations and rich methodological content developed by professional Hebrew teachers and native speakers. During the course you can take part in live Hebrew classes with Alef-Bet tutors or chat with via forum with other Hebrew learners.
In the first part, you will learn useful Hebrew vocabulary related to free time, attractions and the times of day. In the second part, we will review the past tense of verbs in binyan Pa’al kal ל”י, as well as the past tense of “to be”, and learn to construct nominal clauses in the past. In the Interactive story we would go on a day trip to the Kinneret, get our feet wet and learn some secrets of the place and its surrounding Kibbutzim from the locals. In the fourth, listening comprehension part, you will listen to a family planning their day trip to Kibbutz Ginosar, and to Kinneret, a kibbutznik, talking about her childhood memories.
